Dr. Kinser
Dr. Kinser completed her Bachelor's Degree at Lindsey Wilson College where she served as a Bonner Scholar. The Bonner Foundation is a non-profit that provides students an access to education and an opportunity to serve. Dr. Kinser served as a Graduate Assistant for Career Services and the LWC Bonner Scholar program also as a Teaching Assistant for Microbiology. During that time she started her Master's in Public Health with an emphasis in dentistry and global health. She completed her practicum and research in Belize where she served in the Belizean Ministry of Health in their central region dental clinics, schools, and even their prison. Dr. Kinser is a 5 time AmeriCorps service alumna completing more than 8,760 hours (thats 1 year's worth of time) between college and her Master's degree. After finishing her Master's Dr. Kinser started working on her EdD in Health Professions Education. Her dissertation was on business education dental students receive and its impact on their early career. Dr. Kinser has organized pop-up clinics in more than 3 different countries. Her passion is educating patients about their care.

If Dr. Li were a professional athlete his walkout song would be: Jolene by Dolly Parton. Fun fact with Dr. Kinser's southern accent sounds like she's calling him Jolene some of the time.

In her spare time Dr. Kinser enjoys going to Disney World, seeing Broadway musicals, and performing. Lauren grew up on the stage and loves any chance to perform. She went from professional princess to CEO and Founder of The Last Nerve. She also blogs about her own struggles and challenges about her chronic illnesses. When Dr. Kinser was diagnosed she realized there was plenty of clinical literature but there weren't any first person accounts of what it's like living with any of these conditions. Dr. Kinser's philosophy was if no one says anything everyone suffers in silence. So she started writing about everything: conditions, treatments, social/societal issues with being sick. As she's gotten better she's laid the foundation for others; empowering them to seek care and play an active role in their healthcare. Dr. Kinser understands where you're coming from and will ensure you are heard and that the issues bothering you are addressed.
If Dr. Kinser were a professional athlete her walkout song would either be King of Anything by Sara Bareilles or Taylor Swifts The Man. And if shes being honest anything from the Hamilton soundtrack and she'd be happy.
